Coaching A professional opportunity
- Imagine you could increase your effectiveness and your personal abilities on various levels, improve your strengths and be able to make better choices.
- Imagine you could influence your future prospects - today.
- Imagine you could identify and define what's most important in life for you, and how to get there.
- Imagine you could eliminate what's holding you back, and at the same time streamline your everyday life.
Ask yourself:
- Am I achieving my set goals?
- Do I have too many goals?
- Is my working day chaotic?
- Do I put too much energy into the wrong things?
- Do I have many "must do's" to fulfil?
- Do I have "too little time"?
- Do I want to create more time?
- Do I feel that I lack support in things which are important to me?
With the help of a coach, it's possible to work on and answer these questions.
Coaching has increasingly become a working method and an opportunity to achieve more in terms of goals and ambitions. The coach is a support, helping you focus, move forward and improve performance. The coach also helps you strengthen relationships, cope with major, important changes, improve communication with others, improve quality of life, develop strategies and skills and establish better conditions for creativity.
The coach works entirely on the basis of your agenda, requirements and goals. The direction is solely forwards, and what you achieve from coaching will stay with you for the rest of your life. The coach's job is to create added value, reveal more opportunities and shorten the route to your goal. The coach becomes a close partner who fully supports your endeavours.
As a coach, what can I do for you?
As a coach, I help you to:
- Solve problems
- Reach set goals
- Draw up action plans
- Make decisions
- Simplify
I can also help you to:
- Implement action plans, work through changes and overcome obstacles on the way
- Maintain a balance between your professional and private lives
- Look ahead, to be able to anticipate and exploit opportunities
- Get the best from yourself, focusing on your needs, values and visions
I coach in the areas of:
- Personal development, major changes, major new tasks, new career, substantial changes in private life.
- Leadership, negotiation, difficult arguments, conflict resolution.
The issues we work on, or the goals we aim for, can be large or small. They can involve major changes or short-term individual aims. As a coach, I listen, support and help you to see new perspectives. I am a resource, an aid to reaching goals more quickly, and also a means of augmenting the targets set and improving prospects.
What's required of you?
You should have goals to achieve and objectives in mind. These might be the ability to handle complicated situations, reach budget targets, undertake new achievements or change life-goals. You should be prepared to change in order to create new avenues and do something new. The coach helps you make progress in life.
What do you get out of it?
- Awareness
- Help with obstacles and help identifying what's important
- By identifying strengths, you become stronger in key areas
- A simpler life
- The opportunity to advance further than you imagined
- An objective and independent partner that helps you identify and achieve goals
Coaching areas
Vision, Ambition and Goals
One coaching area deals with vision, ambition and related concrete objectives. Vision is like an umbrella, an overarching structure for ambitions and concrete objectives. Vision embraces fundamental values that form the basis for a meaningful existence. Types of ambitions might be: "I want to be successful in my field of work", "I want to feel more confident when speaking in public" or "I want to develop strong leadership". The concrete objectives are time-limited with clear and defined conclusions: "The project must be completed by May 15", "I'll have lost 10 kg by June 20" or "The interviews must be completed by the end of September".
Continuous coaching
Another way of working is to tackle urgent and high-priority issues: problems have arisen and must be solved, a new concept needs testing, preparation for a meeting is required, etc. The focus is decided case by case.
Strength coaching
The third method is more tightly defined. We work on identifying and reinforcing your strengths. The core material is the book "Now, Discover your Strengths" together with an assessment, a test. We then base our coaching on the strengths that this identifies. How can you develop the strengths? What works against the strengths? How can you make use of them in your working life, career and private life?
Professional communication
The fourth coaching area deals with communication, presentation skills and the ability to handle difficult discussions. This is based on the books "Framgångsrik gruppförsäljning och Personlig Presentation", and "Praktisk Argumentationsteknik". The aim of coaching here is to enable professional argumentation and presentation.
Improving quality
Another coaching area concerns improving your quality of life and working life in general. What vision is taking me forwards? What values will support me in my objectives in the future? What areas can I radically improve with an increase in quality? What's stopping me? How do I simplify and at the same time enhance my quality of life?
How is coaching done in practice?
We work over the telephone, in coaching sessions of 30-40 minutes, three times a month. If necessary, you can have intermediate e-mail contact or brief 4-5 minute sessions. The week-by-week coaching schedule is usually fixed for the period, but can be changed as required. A coaching period is a minimum of three months.
Why employ me as a Coach?
- I stay focused on your aspirations.
- I stay focused on your structure.
- I work with your objectives in mind.
- I listen to what you say leads you forwards.
- I listen to what you don't say, and help you forwards.
- I give you my opinions.
- I give you total support.
- I'm accessible.
Ethics
I comply with the International Coach Federationxs (ICF) ethical standards www.coachfederation.com.
Among other things, this means that as a coach I have an obligation to maintain confidentiality.
In all conversations, it is your agenda and objectives that matter.
